Prakrti
Before you find out which one is your original constitution (Prakrti), it is important for you to understand that someone can have a Prakrti where just one of the Doshas in predominant. In that way, if someone originally had more characteristics of Vata (like cold body temperature, dry skin and hair, changing appetite and mood, always moving and engaged in something) he/she could have Vata Prakrti. If someone has more characteristics of Pitta (like hot body temperature, strong appetite, temperamental, tendency to leadership and management), that person probably has a Pitta Prakrti. On the other hand, people with a strong predominance of Kapha (cold body temperature, oily skin and hair, kind character, protecting others), they are likely to have a Kapha Prakrti.
However, in most of the cases nowadays two doshas are predominant at the moment of conception. This creates mixtures like Vata-Pitta Prakrti, Vata-Kapha Prakrti or Pitta-Kapha Prakrti. Moreover, in some opportunities, the three doshas may be present in a similar proportion. Then is when we say that someone has Sama Prakrti, or Vata-Pitta-Kapha Prakrti.
